Hi, I’m Sherlina
From a young age, I've always been captivated by the transformation process of bringing ideas to fruition through art and design. From sketching, to painting, to pottery, my love for art has always been there. My passion for Graphic Design blossomed during my junior year of high school while enrolled in the OSTC Graphic Design program. Through simulated client projects, I honed my skills and discovered a deep-seated enthusiasm for creative expression. Following my graduation from Clarenceville High School, I enthusiastically pursued Graphic Design at Oakland Community College, and Digital Media Certification. I genuinely enjoy bringing mine and other people’s vision to life, and I would do it for the rest of mine. On my weekends I do pottery, paint, and roller skate. As I’ve grown up, I’ve realized that without art and creating, I don’t feel like my most authentic self. Because of that, I make it a priority to always be creating something, even outside of work.
My Approach
My approach to design is centered around world-building. Whether developing a campaign or shaping a brand, everything is meant to add to it and keep a consistent through line in every little detail. While aesthetics are important, I do research and go into it thinking about purpose and intention, and how the overall message is being communicated through graphics, campaigns, online presence, and the subtle choices that shape perception in ways people may not immediately recognize, but instinctively feel.
